Five ways in. All of them useful.
Monthly giving is what lets us stay, so we ask for it first. But money is not the only thing this work runs on, and some of what we need most cannot be transferred.
Give monthly
Join the Olive Tree Circle from ₦2,000 a month.
Give once
₦7,000 funds one household provision pack.
Give goods
Provisions, clothing and materials — ask us first.
Volunteer
Outreach days run on people who turn up.
Partner
Fund, deliver together, lend expertise, or refer.
The Olive Tree Circle
We can plan a programme around ₦10,000 a month that we cannot plan around ₦120,000 once a year, even though the amount is the same. Monthly giving is what lets us tell a widow in Lugbe that we will be back in three months and mean it.
The beginning of something. Enough, with others, to keep provisions moving to identified households.
Growth that holds. Supports provisions and health screening across our programmes.
Depth and stability. Supports continuous programming, including the skills work that takes longest to bear.
You are not supporting a programme. You are holding it up.
To join, set up a standing order using the details below, then send your name, tier and email to info@esshemenfoundation.org so we can add you to the Circle.
₦7,000 funds one household provision pack.
If monthly giving is not right for you, a one-off gift still does real work. A pack is sized for a household, not an individual, and it is delivered without anybody having to queue in public or be photographed to receive it.
After giving, send your name and email to info@esshemenfoundation.org and we will acknowledge it and tell you where it went.
Ask us what is needed before you send anything.
We accept provisions, clothing and materials, and they are genuinely useful when they match what a programme actually needs that month.
Unrequested donations often create storage and distribution costs that reduce their value, and occasionally we end up paying to move something nobody asked for. One message first solves it.
Outreach days run on
people who turn up
Distribution, registration, crowd coordination, health screening support, documentation, and the practical logistics that decide whether an outreach day is dignified or chaotic.
Occasional
You come when you can. Programme support on outreach days, no standing commitment.
Regular
You are part of the rota. We plan outreach days knowing you will be there.
Team lead
You run field operations on the day, coordinating other volunteers and holding the standards.
Reliability first. An outreach day is planned around the people who said they would be there.
Everyone who volunteers with us agrees to our safeguarding standards, including our rules on photography and consent. There is no exception to this for anyone, including donors and visitors.
To start, send your name, phone number and what you can offer to info@esshemenfoundation.org, or message us on Instagram at @esshemen_foundation.
Five ways to
partner with us
We work with churches, NGOs, community associations, care homes, businesses and funders across the FCT and beyond.
Fund a programme
Support a defined cohort or programme cycle, with reporting on outcomes rather than attendance.
Provide goods or services in kind
Provisions, medical supplies, training capacity, venue space, transport.
Deliver together
Joint programming where your reach and ours serve the same community. We handle beneficiary identification, records and follow-up.
Provide technical support
Health screening, training delivery, legal advice for widows facing inheritance disputes, or professional expertise our team does not hold.
Refer
If you work with people who fit our four groups and you cannot serve them, refer them to us.

What we commit to
Documentation
You will receive a written account of what the partnership delivered, including what did not work.
Beneficiary dignity
Our consent and safeguarding standards apply to partner activity on our programmes without exception.
Records
Beneficiaries are identified and recorded, so we can tell you who was reached rather than how many attended.
Honesty about capacity
We will tell you what we cannot deliver before we agree to it rather than after.
