Vulnerability is not simply a shortage of money. It is the result of structures that exclude, of deprivation that lasts long enough to change what a person believes is possible for them, and of a slow erosion of standing that makes asking for help harder every year.
This is why we do not measure our work in bags distributed. Our base is Lugbe, Abuja, and our programmes run across communities in the Federal Capital Territory.

Skills, income routes and practical training so that support has an end point rather than becoming permanent.
Restoration
Presence, counsel, and the kind of consistent relationship that lets a person rebuild confidence rather than dependency.
Immediate need
Food, provisions, health screening and direct material support, delivered in a way that does not cost the recipient their dignity.

Reach identified households on a schedule
Household provision packs delivered to households we have identified and recorded, sized for a household rather than an individual, on a schedule rather than at an event.
Catch preventable illness early
Blood pressure screening and health education, because hypertension goes undetected in this group for years and is cheap to catch early.
Build routes into income
Skills and training matched to a person’s household, health, location and existing knowledge. A generic vocational programme produces certificates; we are trying to produce income.
Keep records that make follow-up possible
Every beneficiary is identified and recorded, so the same person can be reached again in three months and we can see whether anything is changing.
Protect dignity and consent
Consent is obtained before any photograph. Children and people living on the street are never photographed for fundraising. Beneficiary records are not shared without consent.
Account for every naira
Income recorded against specific programmes, expenditure documented with receipts, and reporting to donors on what their giving actually funded.
